  • Jamaican football depress me to rhatid

After 4 years in charge not even one team Boxhill them qualify.

We can't even make gold cup or Digicel cup.

We are now rank 68 in the world. A distance away from our sub forty ratings.

If is not Bora we can't even get a game. All Boxhill do is talk. Talk about soon to be one match a month, soon to be finished academy, soon to be continuous preparation for the teams.

Other than Luton Sheldon which other younster are we producing to be top class footballer?

While I appreciated the fact that he has finally change some of lifetime coaches in the JFF, he needs a real plan.

Can you imagine if it was Burrell or anybody else in power over the last four year? What has Boxhill achieve? Don't tell me hire Bora, that is no achievement.

Assain I was with you until the Burrell part, what did Burrel do after WC 98 , and post WC 2002 ?....kissteth.

Dont worry , election a run
THERE IS ONLY ONE ONANDI LOWE!

"Good things come out of the garrisons" after his daughter won the 100m Gold For Jamaica.

"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

You conveniently overlooked the point of the man post to focus on the section that mentioned Burrel eh?

If Burrell or whomever returns or whomever gets in , the bar has been set and much is expected of him/her , To say much is a disservice more like miracles on arrival.

The bar has been set by whome might I ask? Surely not Crenston! Name me one thing this man has achieved since taking over Jamaica's football.

If you could just for one moment remove the screen that is blocking your vision, you would see that the standard set by Burrell will forever be the benchmark for Jamaica's football. Qualifying 3 national teams for world cup finals FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER in the space of 4 years is a gigantic achievement no matter what angle you look at it from. Remeber the days when Jamaica had men like Walter Gama as national technical director for our youth programs? Remeber the days when we had specialist goal-keping coaches from Brazil (chico Santos)? Rember when we had a specialist physical trainier in Montesso, and later Gladyston Annanias. Rmemeber when the team had an official nutritionist that planned their diets etc?

Its not by co-incidence that Jamaica managed to achieve so much in this period of time. Burrell is tha man that made it all happen.

See that same JFF building in New Kingston, it was Burrell's vision and forward thinking that came up with the idea to get that place. And yet still these clowns in office are yet to open the long promised academy.

Its not that I like Burrell. I dont know the man personally. Nor is it that I hate Boxhill, agaian i dont know him, never met him.

But pound for pound, and purely from the perspective of a RBZ fan, Its easy to see who did better for Jamaica's football. You wil ltell me that by his own high standrads, burrell achieved nothing post France-98. But as far as I know, the youth teams (under-17 and under-20) qualified after the senior team in 1998. And sure, we missed out on qualifying for Japan/Korea 2002...But I really cant recall us not making the Hex under burrell's leadership...nor can i recall us not qualifying for the Caribbean cup finals under his guidance.

Which team won the inaugural Digicel Caribbean Cup? Who was the president of the JFF then?

Reggae-Fan, it's time you stop addressing folks like X , Mosiah, Maudib...(and fellow mortals)--on the positive attributes of Cap't Burrell.

The folks who are most blind...are those who refuse to see.
The only time TRUTH will hurt you...is if you ignore it long enough

Mosiah! It was not the inaugural Digicel Caribbean Cup. I was just new sponsors Digicel.
Why else would they have said that Jamaica has won the Cup 3 times??

I'm afraid it was the inaugural Digicel Cup. The 3 times refer to the CFU championships whether it was sponsored by Shell, Digicel or called Copa Caribe or whatever.

In any case, my point remains. The name of the cup, inaugural or otherwise, is not that important.

Whoopty doo! Boxhill won the inaugural Digicel Caribbean Cup!

And then fail to make the finals the very next year.

something tells me that the 3 world cup berths carry more weight. Maybe its just me.
