  • King Jawge, Brazil was boooed at home...

I am sure you watched the friendly that Brazil played at home against Chile.

The game ended 2-ALL. But from about the 70th minute (maybe before), the home crowd ole'ed the Chileans when they had the ball-- and booooed their own.

The Brazilian management team could not be more stellar!!

    What's your prognosis?

    Thanks.

Sad to see Brazil go into their long-awaited home World Cup with perhaps their worst team ever! Brazil has, more than any other country in my view, played a major part in making this sport the beautiful game, appreciated and played in every nook and cranny around the globe.

Maybe being at home they'll be able to shrug off their current malaise. Let's see if they can hint at a renaissance at this year's Confederation Cup.

Brazil needs a coach and thats the truth, they have the players.

"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

Time boss. They still need to find a good replacement for Lucio (which is what's hurting them right now) and work on a defensive system where you have Mario silva like work horse there. Incidentally Kleberson played that role for big Phil in 2002. They will also wake up to see that they need Binho too. Confed cup should be used as practice the big prize is the WC.

Brasil has the quality it's just to purge out the untalented one that was placed there by the last coach. Getting the right combinations is also important.

There's going to be enormous pressure on Brazil when the WC finals come around.

In fact, it's hard to think of the last time a host country had such pressure to win the trophy. There was a some on Germany in 2006, but it was nothing like the weight that's going to be on Brazil's shoulders in just over a year from now.

I think it could really end up backfiring and being their undoing.

X...when you find the time, take a look at the Brazilian coaching staff.

                Thanks in advance.

Isn't that what this forum is about, sharing our thoughts? You shared yours on Brazil in an earlier post. What is different about Zeppo's? Maybe you do not agree with him and you do not have a comeback. You can do better than that Jawge.

Already under pressure, Scolari says Brazil deserves jeers after series of poor performances

Luiz Felipe Scolari abruptly got up and left the news conference after a question that followed Brazil's disappointing 2-2 home draw with Chile: Will you consider resigning if Brazil doesn't do well in the Confederations Cup?

"No answer. This is a joke!" the visibly upset coach said, walking away.

Just five matches into his return to the national team, Scolari is already under pressure.

Four months ago, fans praised the return of the coach who led Brazil to the 2002 World Cup title. But on Wednesday more than 50,000 fans loudly booed his team after the draw with Chile, disappointed with yet another poor performance by Brazil less than two months before the Confederations Cup.

Didn't see this but to think that Phil and I see things along the same lines is impressive . Brasil cannot win the WC of today without a good defensive system. They must have the ability to soak up pressure and hit back fast and hard. The people have to be patient because there will come a time in this long tourney when Brasil needs to just kill off the rest of the game. Takes good D for this.
