  • Karlsruhe's 20-Game Unbeaten Streak Ends

Daniel Gordon's Karlsruhe had their 20-game unbeaten streak snapped with a 2-1 loss at Unterhaching, the sixth-place team. Karlsruhe had a patched-up midfield and looked flat. Unterhaching scored in the seventh minute.

Karlsruhe did not play well enough to win, but looked like they might salvage a 1-1 draw in the second half. Karlsruhe's goal came in stoppage time, a few minutes after Unterhaching took a 2-0 lead.

With seven rounds remaining, the table reads: Arminia Bielefeld 64 points, Karlsruhe 63, Osnabruck 60, Muenster 59, and Heidenheim 59. Karlsruhe, Muenster, and Heidenheim have eight matches remaining, the others seven. The top two teams are automatically promoted to Bundesliga 2. The third place team goes to a promotion playoff.

Karlsruhe plays their "catch up" game on Wednesday. Muenster and Heidenheim play their catch-up games the following week.

Things look tight at the top for your team. I wish them all the best!
