  • Defensive Game Plan

Can anyone name a successful/top ranked country and/or club team that employs a defensive game plan, without effective & experienced counter attacking players???

The ReggaeBoyz continue to play without a creative/attacking midfielder, and the game plans they use require effective and experienced counter attack players (if they wan't to win), which they don't have.

USAF the reggae boyz play 4-4-2 away from home in Costa Rica, that is not a defensive game plan. The problem with the Boyz is the personnel that they use within that game plan.

They used two defensive/holding midfielders, which makes six defensive players (seven if you count the goalkeeper), and neither of the these two defensive/holding players seem comfortable with the ball at their feet.

They don't, they are using rudy to play in an unfamiliar role. Elliott is the holding one.

              They don't what???

I have only heard of Elliott and Austin playing defence or holding/defensive midfield, so besides playing a defensive/holding role what other contribution can/will Elliott and Austin give???
