The pass was available before he cut in...way before...and probably should have been made...if you don't make the pass yuh better score...or provide a better effort than Mattocks did

      Nice post!
The clips suggest the standard of play is good.
Mattocks was not the only one who should have been taken to task...but in light of his own development he should dismiss any thoughts of the others mistakes.

On at least one occasion he and a teammate were at the same time well positioned (excellent positions) to be let in on goal and his teammate on the ball took a long range shot (did not higher %age goalscoring pass opportunity).

Liked Mattocks' movement and touch as shown. Overall did very well.

The player on the right. No offside if pass was made when it should have been.

Be specific.. when was the pass available.. such that it was a CLEAR and better option to score on goal..

Where was Mattocks when he should have made the pass to enable an 'obviously better' and clear option on goal such that it made his attempt from inside the 18 selfish or immature...

          Talk up..

Please indicate when Mattocks should have made this pass. the argument here is that he was selfish and took a shot when an obviously better option was available..

            Careful now..

Not trying to be unfair. This decision happen all the time in football and not always the greatest striker makes the right decision. You can't use one play and say Mattocks nuh ready. That is my point especially after seeing the goal he scored in that game.

You are the one been unfair there.

This is what Reo-cockead a mek up noise bout ??!

lol !! mind yuh pull a muscle ..

There is no obvious clear advantage in making a pass here..

The central defender is ahead of the far right player by a good 4 yards..keeping pace.. there is no clear passing angle that would take the central defender AND the goalkeeper out of play.. not even Messi or Iniesta coulda find dat pass..

Bunch ah jokers.. gwaan mek Reo-cockead tun unnuh innah eediat..

lol ! this wuss... even in frame by frame analysis (not real time in the heat of the run) this is not an OBVIOUS better passing option rather than take it to goal..

The right side player not accelerating relative to the central defender enough to account for the very low margin of error for a pass in front of the Central Defender..

Is Messi or Iniesta yuh si wid di ball ?

Where yuh did want Mattocks to pass the ball in this frame ?

Mi nuh have time for you today...the screen shots speak for themselves...there is an obvious passing lane that would have left Coker one and one with the goalkeeper...no problem with Mattocks taking it himself...but his final effort was poor...

You cannot see a passing lane between the last defender and the goalkeeper that would have had Coker one on one with the keeper? So the defender is going to change direction and get to the ball before Coker? Yuh idle or sittin?

The players are almost 40 yards out !?

What is the tactical advantage of switching responsibility to Hurtado here ??

Who is the lead Striker pon di side ??
