I wouldnt say that , they looked like they were giving a tactical assingment that didnt make sense , even austin looked clueless at times.

Tactical assignment or not, that not going to change the ability of some of these players to dribble past opponents, ball control in tight spaces when you dont have a big english pitch or them struggling to tackle Central American type midfielders.

If Teddy would only hold up his head and pass maybe we would be singing a different tune. If he was looking and decide to make his pass earlier, who to tell what could happen.

Omar Daley is talented and can surprise with you speed, skill and sometimes he unexpected. He is a player who seem to be a yellow card magnet though. He never fails to win you a yellow card in most games and last night he did not dissapoint in that respect.

Panama expected us to race down the wings , i saw 2 to 3 players on a Rbyz going down the wing,no one had the commonsense to pass or square it laterally to an open man across the field except JJ , in the 70 odd min ?

Where was the plan B or C?

So what was the assingment ,granted they didnt make it easy on themselves with errant passing.

McAnuff was supposed to be the Jerry hue player. Contrary to the hype, he can't play that role and is simply a hard worker, who can do a couple good drop shoulder moves and cross pretty well. His level of creativity is not very good by concacaf standards. English championship, yes. Concacaf, no.

That is the drawback with both. However in the national stadium I think you just have to deal with cons of the two of them and minimize the weakness through the team setup. Likewise hue. The field is small enough where you can get away with the tactical deficiencies of many of our players.
