It would be hard judge one man based simply on the numbers of goals scored against strong opposition.. is not penalty shootout...
Would be more interested in attempts vs goals numbers.. assists etc.
My analysis of Shelton is has a poor first touch and he is neither clinical nor particularly good as a holding or passing when playing strong teams.. so he may turn out to be a weak link if we raise the level of play of the rest of the team..which we seem to have done..
Against a strong team a forward has to be clinical and have good positional awareness in attack.. you will not get may very clear chances on goal from bad defensive positioning or be able to use individual one dimensional abilities such as 'speed over ground'...
