Did you see our players allowing the Mexicans...and before that the Panamanians run towards the ball...going by our stationary players and 'picking up' the ball?
Did you see our players refusing to attack the ball and being beating to
it, 'time and time again'?
Besides our Free-Kick deep in time, did you see our players taking shots or passing (our #7 missing a 'slow ball completely...when directly in front of goal on or about 12 yards out) on target/goal?
Did you see our players kicking balls...many, many, many (often mis-kicks) straight to the opponents?
Well?
The basic of trying to get the ball was missing - Hey if you remain rooted you cannot be so stupid to have it happen time and again and not change act to trying to meet the ball...can you? ...so it must have been 'reflex action...that remaining 'rooted' when a ball comes towards you? Right?
What I am asking is, were you and your teammates always doing that? Practicing that 'stationary move' ? ...and your teachers were there seeing you practice? ...and cheered you repeatedly? OooooK!
What about your kicking/passing...you also practiced that? ....and again the teachers observed you over time passing as you showed us in those U-20 matches? OooooK! They said what? Oooh they complimented you?
...and did you do any sprint drills? You know 20 - through 40 yards repetitive sprint drills? Yes, you did! OoooK...and they were often at the top speed of slooow as you showed in Mexico? ...and the teachers cheered?
I will not ask anymore questions about those classes your coaches held...but...?
Well? ...what do you think of the performances in Mexico?
Fabulous!
Aside: Guess I am Jamerican? Practice the verb! ...in JA it would be practise as verb!
