Seen where some say Austin had a no show game, others seem to ave a different views. We continue to underrate the d side of the game, shadowing, tracking, shutting down space, closing holes, putting pressure in the middle of the field!!

That is why my friends believe Theo...and locally, Maestro...is the greatest thing since slice bread! They do not appreciate how the weaken TEAM at crucial phases of a game. Sure we can win with them at lower levels...but as the opponents are higher rated the mistakes and lack of effort on defense...complementing TEAM...making TEAM unit on defense...and indeed key areas on attack become greater and greater liability.

This last game it appeared to me that Austin was good. ...but I intend to watch the game again to either confirm or disprove my earlier assessment. I have it on the DVR.

he had a very ordinary game, it seemed like the pace of the game was too quick for him, at times. He was late in couple of tackles, made some poor passes.

      Let see your observation.

I saw the second half, saw him running, shadowing, closing space, covered a lot of field and I saw little if any threat coming through his participation, typically a weak point if there is one is exploited and it was not as if Tottenham was not trying to score or win the match, to me a good performance just not much on the o side.

Austin was playing pretty high up and that did impact Tottenham bringing the ball out smoothly from the back. From watching Tottenham over the years though, their wing play is usually their strengh withh Lennon and Bale running at the wing backs. Ausitin did stay discipline in the middle but I don't think he had a good game..much didn't come his way and the few times he had the ball he didn't do much with it
