After the cockup with Dempsey's botched transfer, the fiasco of the wasted £80m that FSG allowed KD to spend last year, the multitude of missed summer targets and failure to offload Henderson and Cole last transfer season, I have a feeling that FSG must have told Liverpool Chief Executive - "Get your shyte together or get packing".
Liverpool have not only signed Sturridge on day 1, but are close to finalizing Joe Cole's transfer to West Ham, paving the way for another midfielder (potentially the "past-his-prime" Wesley Sneijder). My guess is that if FSG is to spend any serious money in the summer, those deals will all be figured out way in advance as I get the feeling FSG has no appetite for that kind of screwup again. They also seem to be sending a message to other clubs on what they are willing to spend, refusing to budge on their £4m bid for Thomas Ince. All good signs, but I may be wrong; they may just appear to have gotten their act together.
