      You notice the defender did not protest...he immediately held his head down in disgust at not attacking the ball...he didn't raise his hands in protest and turn to the ref...he knew he made a mistake...

        That has nothing to do with anything BT. Barry rode the back of the Reading defender to get to the ball. I was surprised that the goal was not called back as a result of a foul on the defender.

        City got a let off on that one.

          Looking at it again it's even more clear cut...not only was the defender not playing the ball, he backed away from the ball into the attacker...clear obstruction...

                  I thought you said the player wasn't going for the ball and was holding his ground? How do you prevent someone from going after a ball if he wasn't going after the ball? Unnuh sound confused
