It seems likely that Stead will be spearheading United's attack, at home at least, with Hulse now out for the rest of the season.
The poll asked who the fans would most like to see partner Stead up front?
It seems that January signing Luton Shelton is the fans favourite with 36% of the overall votes.
The Jamaican striker managed his first appearance as a late substitute for the Blades in their 1-0 defeat to Bolton on Saturday.
The striker was a £2M signing from Swedish club Helsingborgs in January and possesses lightening pace.
Danny Webber came in second place with 32% of the votes, while Christian Nade came in third with 23%.
Webber was the favoured striker last season but has struggled for form this term and is currently sidelined with a foot injury.
Meanwhile, Nade won the race to start the Bolton game but after a couple of uninspiring performances it seems the fans would prefer to see Shelton take his place.
Whatever strike partnership Warnock does decide on, one thing is for certain, the Blades need to start finding the back of the net again, and quickly.
Final results of the poll were:
Shelton: 36%
Webber: 32%
Nade: 23%
Kazim-Richards: 4%
Stead on own: 5%</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></TD></TR>
