    HL - I watched it again in slow motion - he was definitely hit by a coin. If you look on the ground behind him, there were many coins. I think now that he was lifting his shirt to cover his head from them but one r-ss him before he could complete the manouever. Not a good thing. They should BAN any man or woman that threw coins, whether they hit a player or not.

      When Rooney went in that area to take a corner, he did point out to the ref what was happening? Why didn't the stewards go in that area to see if they could control the thugs?

        Because no one likes Manu**? Seriously, in situations like this, you have to stop the game and make everyone suffer - if the perpetrators can be identified, move them out immediately; otherwise, stop the game until order is restored.
