Vidic, 25, was injured when he landed awkwardly on his shoulder during Saturday's match at Old Trafford.
He was stretchered off after lengthy treatment which held up the match.
United are already without fellow defender Mikael Silvestre after he dislocated a shoulder in a Champions League match against Lille. </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
