He's much better than that. No wonder he says Jamaica's football is more physical.

if the league in Cali is not a pro league and he is not getting "paid". No reason why he can't play while he is waiting.

The college rather wait than have forfeit games. Yes some more investigate can be done but if he played 8 games he is only with the school for less than a month so academics couldn't come into play.

He could also be referring to the cane cutter tackles and elbows that seem to be a regular part of the local game.

If the school thought he was pro, they wouldn't have taken him in the first place. This in one month into the season. It is a lot more likely that some lodged a complain to NCAA.

Normally the school check out your status before admission so they must have known that he played for BT and they deemed him to be "not professional". Once a complain is lodge the NCAA carry out a more in depth investigation and school sits the player.

            Why contradict yourself?

              Yet he hired an agent.

For a while I did not follow...now, 'got yuh'! ...as questions could be asked on the following -

"After leaving Jefferson College, I went to California to play in a league there while my agent was searching for a club," Hardware shared. He then hooked me up with Motala, the same club my former Under-20 teammate Craig Foster plays for.

Again the article is poorly structured but it could be that he went to Cali to play and then got an agent. Agent may have enticed him not to go back to school even if thr ruling was for him.

There is some clarity needed but I don't see much wrong with the overall story. He was been investigated and he choose to go to Cali and took an offer in Sweden.

This should be a lesson for NPL teams and players who thinking about school in the US.

He clearly stated that he went to Cali to play WHILE his agent searched for a better gig for him...

..before Jerry did his thing...Allan "Skill" Coke (and I think O'Nandi Lowe?) pulled the same stunt of disliking some aspects of life in a foreign country.

Not saying I know the true story behind Jerry's sojourn but the story you constantly call into question could be true!

...but 'timing' of that Cali visit? ...and when was it that he contracted with his agent?

It was AFTER he was asked to leave the college... because of the "rumour"...nowhere in the article does the youngster make any claim about attempting to be reinstated at the college...

What is certain is, if he is already 20, he cannot be playing with the national U20 team as he would have to have been born January 1, 1993 or after.
