Leeds have yet to officially confirm the nature of the former SK Brann player's injury, but Warnock added: "I was told it was a double fracture but he shouldn't have been in that position (covering for Pearce at centre-half).

      Leeds manager Neil Warnock:
"I'm not devastated about the game but I am about Rudy, he has broken is leg in two places.
"I was told it was a double fracture but he shouldn't have been in that position (covering for Pearce at centre-half).
"I wanted to try and win the game with 10 men, but everything is irrelevant tonight, it's the least of my worries when I think that we have lost Rudy for so long. When our lads knew about it, they were distraught."

No, but we are Jamaican fans and this injury hurts. Austin has really stepped up his game and is our best overall midfielder. Our depth is going to be critical for the 2014 campaign.

I just feel there is more reason to be upset when you field a player out of his position and injury is a result. We know club managers are upset when their players(correctly fielded in their position) get injured in a game for their national team, maybe Whitmore should write Leeds a letter, that might prove useful if Austin should get injured in a game for his country.

Until we hear for sure, let's hope it is a minor injury and this is just a much needed break(no pun intended) for him.

                  Let us hope.

...and we need a couple of midfielders.

Austin is easily among the best top 5 players for Jamaica.

I have seen him play in Ohio. I was very impressed. He makes the rest of the team look ordinary.

                      Hope he recovers very soon.

Wish for Ruddy a speedy and full recovery!
May he return even better than before!

Massive loss, between recovery and getting back to tip top shape and game sharpness, I just don't know, we better be prepared to do it without him. That means sharp, fast and combative players in midfield, players that also undestand the word and action required behind "sacrifice for team at all costs" a direction which our team fathers seem prepared to go in the other direction at their own peril.
