    ...what the tie breaking rules are for the HEX? As I understand it:

    1. Goal difference
    2. Goals for
    3. Head to head points
    4. Head to head goal difference
    5. Head to head Goals for
    6. Random draw

    Can someone confirm this for me please?

        You thought the rules changed from the semis to the hex?
        Teams are ranked first by total points in all games, then if tied, by best goal differential in all games, then by total goals in all games.

            right - but what after these three? i think head to head comes into play, but I am not sure.

                I think all you need is at fifa.com website - 2014 FIFA World Cup go to the document: Regulations - FWC Brazil 2014 2012!!! It is section 18, sub-section 6.

                btw - Tremendous info at that FIFA.com=2014 World Cup section of that site!!!
