Unwanted midfielder remains on Preston's transfer list despite rejoining first team
The midfielder played all of 90 minutes for the Lilywhites in a Lancashire Senior Cup defeat to Morecambe on Tuesday. Perhaps, certainly not aiding his cause by missing the decisive spot kick, which saw Preston go down 3-2 to The Shrimps after a 1-1 draw in normal time. The diminutive player, earmarked a few months ago as a possible solution to perceived creative midfielder woes, within the national team set-up, has found the going tough since joining the English League 1 club last summer. Since his transfer, the 24-year-old managed to register very few appearances under Phill Brown and failed to make any league appearances under new manager Graham Westley. During the preseason, Daley was one of eight player not allowed to train with the first team squad, he is the only one that is still at the club. The player has since rejoined first team training but Preston chairman Peter Ridsdale made it clear that the player was still very much available.
"He's a contracted player until the end of the season and is available for loan or permanent transfer," Ridsdale told English publication the Evening Post.
"Keammar has been training with the first-team squad and played in the midweek cup game."
Daley has in recent times been linked with several moves away from Deepdale but none are yet to materialise. The player spent time in the summer on trial with Scottish Premier League club St Johnstone, but a firm offer was never made. There were also rumours of a move to the Turkish League, but there was no deal before the Turkish transfer window closed in September.
Daley has also found himself out of favour with the national team, and has not features for the squad since a 2-1 loss to Panama in June.
