I think he wanted to play for Jamaica but, his priorty was to make sure one of the teams reach the second round before he decided.
Sad!!! Poor Canada.

De Guzman must be really desperate because is just the other day him was talking about "us" when referring to Netherlands, then him brother say him was going to switch if Canada get into the final round. Now him ready fi Jamaica. LOL
He thought he would be in the Netherland squad and it didn't happen, then he wanted to switch because all of sudden they look like they were going to qualify, then Brraaaappp, only we one left.
Everybody want to play in a world cup. LOL. It better we call Kevin Davis. LOL.

ok hold on Jonathan??? Now interestingly enough Jobi Jonathan and Jr can all play the same position and are all good players and would really bring the ire out of the Hue camp.. But different post for a different day.. In the analysis as to what happened to the Canadian team in honduras.. it seems it is not going over well that Julian DeGuzman Jonathans bro who plays for Canada stated in an interview the night before the Honduras game that jonathan was onboard if Canada gets the results.. So are we now saying he is playing for Jamaica?.. Apprently some people are attributing that to canada mailing it in.... Anyway good player would help...
yes he does.. and I believe he gave up his Canadian one to get it.. Not sure but was told one of the reasons he would have to fast track to be able to regain his Canadian citizenship. And that was unlikely as you have to live in canada for a period of time to regain your citizenship something he cant do and so we were skeptical he could play for Canada.
NO not true... Jr. wanted to secure his spot and contract in the EPL.. much like Jobi.. I think they have some issues with the CSA as to how he was treated as a youth.. told he was too small re re.. the usual.

I was listening to TVJ Eye on Sports a few months ago and they were discussing LOCAL players who would not show up to train for the national team. Indeed just because you born in Jamaica and don't have other options it doesn't make the local players any more committed. You could argue that if you had other options and chose Yard you are even more commited.
Every player has to make a decsion to make not just show up but commit. If these gentlemen are willing to commit 100% then let us see. Let us not make assumptions that they are not 100%.
