Busy as a bee and running around like a headless chicken while not achieving much. That is all good and well in Stoni's book. Watson can be a good player, but until he makes up for his inconsistencies he will remain an mediocre player with a few good moments.

For me, give me the player who will find himself in good positions, reads the game well and make telling plays when he needs to do so. I see that in Hue.

Stoni, go back to the source of the problem. Look at Taylor who played for Austin and you will see that is where your criticism should be.

You really read in Stoni's post a blame of Hue?
I certainly did not see that. ...but then Stoni may wish to show where I am at fault!

btw - I thought Stoni's posts (more than one) was about TEAM --- TEAM selection!

        Here is what Stoni said:

what did hue do to make the team. He comes from nowhere to start the game jumping over other guys that were in the squad, we know what he brings, but we know what he does not bring, in a game such as this we needed no holes in the defensive unit with Austin out and maps out.
If that is not anti-Hue, I do not know what is.

If his comments were about TEAM and TEAM Selection, then he has gone about it wrong in singling out Hue.

I only have the advantage of seeing him play every week. That counts for nothing.

This was a game we could have and should have won. Pity we didn't because it has given fodder to the anti-Hue gang.

Hey, Watson has been able to hold down an MLS position, something Hue couldn't do.

So who is better and more worthy of a place on our team?

We should have used that criterion for 1998.

Mosiah, do you agree with me that Lovel Palmer played like crap? I mean, for a STETHS man, I have never been more disappointed in a player on the national team. . . well, apart from when Ricketts was going on with his foolinish.

Stop chat uckrey! Fuller has not produced many goals. but he has produced many assist and goal scoring opportunities. An analyst, from over so, a few years back did a study and found that Fuller was involved in over 65 % of the goals Jamaica scored when he was on the field. He might not score, but he surely creates and makes JA a better team when on the field. As far as not tearing up the championship he is just now approaching full fitness and has done a credible job in the games played. He has started 3 games and scored 2 goals. This current JA squad has no strikers in the same class with Fuller and King. Tappa has put in place a nice system, but we systematically excluded some of our best players and are now paying the price. How in the world you ignore Noseworthy for 3 rasta cl..aat years?

I wouldn't count on that. When he was bought by his club to be a playmaker. They have a hard time finding out his niche because of the inconsistency that Tilla mention. He is currently coming off the bench and not a regular starter.

Don't be surprise if Houston decide to go somewhere else as he not producing much for an attacking mid. Get me to the point where I wonder if our coaches watch MLS games to see who is in form.

We didn't do so bad defensively. My problem is not so much his corner but at what point you tell him to take a break?????

And I have said that, Taylor is out of position, his style of playing especially on Ja team past couple games, he has had to react to a limited st of stimuli as the mids wee playing defense well so he was mostly able to just deal with his geography, going into defenive mid was a jump to hyper space for him, better the move to centre half, leave shavar as sub in case.

I just have big issues with the selection process we must create more of a true meritocracy, those who play earn it.

Provide me with the statistic to disprove my argument. Jus don't tell me I am talking whatever.

Hey, strikers are assessed on their ability to put the ball in the back on the net, not how many chances they create. I think Fuller is at the end of his road right now and the creation of chances is not is killing this team. We need finishers and in that respect, I am sorry to disappoint you, but Fuller is not a finisher when he wears national colors. The stats are out there to prove that. Can you let me know Fuller's game to goal ratio in national colors?

Hey, he got a shot, he campaigned for it and they listened, all I can do is take my hat off to him on that and he played ok. Nut in the long run that is not the type of player I want in the mids and I definitely don't want to see guys come up through a contrived selection process, this should be as close to a meritocratic process as much as possible. Big ballas currently producing in big leagues are first in line, ballas getting consistent game in the biggest leagues are next, ball las barely getting low minutes in pro leagues are equal to ballas producing well in local league. That is the pyramid.

Look at the squad it is all over the place we have babies just out of cribs on the national side, to untested players outside of local league.

Hue is just representative of the selection process, he was nowhere two qual games ago, hell! one qual game ago and bam he is in the team and playing a critical match. Just says we don't have a process it is some hopscotch business, throw you marker and you have no clue where it will fall.

I really don't care what his goal ratio for JA is, if you want it go look it up for yourself. What I care about is the team better with him or not. Any good coach will look at stats, but also knows how to put stats into context. I notice how many of you were cursing Fuller when we beat T&T 1- 0 a while back. Lost in the shuffle was the fact that he created the opportunity for the winning goal. Right now we only have one striker that has score from open play during this round...what that stat mean?
