  • Roysten Drenthe...

...is currently unemployed. I remember him well from the youth euros for Holland and then for Real Madrid and a loan stint where he did well at Everton. Now him cyan even find a club because his attitude is terrible. This kid had talent, strength, speed but that attitude...man o man. He is the kind of player that you hope will find a way to get his career back on track as he's only 25. Sylvan Distin - his team mate at Everton, claimed he can't be tamed. http://www1.skysports.com/football/n...can-t-be-tamed

    Reading sign Royston Drenthe
"Donovan was excellent. We knew he was a good player, but he really didn't do anything wrong in the whole game and made it difficult for us."

Not true. He had moments of brilliance for RM, but habitually turning up late to practice etc. at such an outfit was completely immature and ill-advised.

He has great talent but no discipline, that is the reason he haven't fulfilled his potential!

He was a flop at Real Madrid. He was simply not up to that level of ball game. Too many turnovers and poor defensive positioning.

Really? I think he is extremely good and should have already been starring for a big club. But, attitude does have a way of getting in the way. And if that's the case, then I will have no pity for the fool.

His younger brother played for Surinam's U20 a couple years ago, I think.

He is a good player on a mid level team and the weak link on the strongest team.

                  Drenthe signs for Kayseri Erciyesspor

Former Real Madrid winger Royston Drenthe has left Reading to join Turkish side Kayseri Erciyesspor.

The 27-year-old made 24 appearances for the Royals after signing from Russian side Alania Vladikavkaz in 2013.

Drenthe spent the first half of this season on loan at Sheffield Wednesday, making 15 appearances for the Owls.
