I think that performance last night, though not spectacular, will have the rest of CONCACAF on their toes and a trip to the Office will not be a welcoming nor comfortable one. The mystique of the Office seem to have returned last night, and that was due to the performance and attitude of the ReggaeBoyz, led by Whitmore, who was one of the architects of that mystique in the late ‘90s. The Boyz stepped up from an early set back and just “punched us in the mouth” and stood there daring us to do something about it – that is attitude, that is confidence, and I haven’t seen that from the ReggaeBoyz in a long time. Brings back nightmares of RFK Stadium ’97 .
The only hole I can see is at the creative midfield position, and if you guys can find a player, like Whitmore in his prime, to fill that position with all that attacking speed and skill around him, then I wouldn’t want to face you in the next round, especially at the Office.
Eagerly awaiting the Columbus matchup. May the best team (USA ) win.
