  • Where Is The Counter Attack?

We beat the USA to every ball...we have loads of speed...why when we had the chance to quickly counter attack were we walking the ball up the pitch...even playing the ball back back back...get the damn ball moving forward with pace...COUNTER ATTACK...

what was the problem. We control midfield and was moving the ball, nothing wrong with that. In the second half a few ball went oer the top but by then there was no need to be forcing the ball and losing it when we were in the lead, instead you hold it and keep it honest.

In Colombus we will need the counter.

Sass, there were some obvious moments when we should have countered. I remember one time when Ryan Johnson got the ball on the right side and Shelton made a break forward. RJ should have released that ball STRAIGHT!

Y'see, wi win di game so now wi can chat. What if we had succumbed to one of the many attacks thrown at us in the last 15 minutes of the game? What would be seeing then?

If wi can beat the USA 3-1 or 4-1, why not do it!!!!!?

When we attack the space and turn less balls back to the defenders we are a deadly team.

Mosiah one of our main problem is not holding onto the ball in the last 15 minutes and seeing out games. We instead loose the ball to easily and defense panic. The US put on two big forward to try and boot the ball down but they never saw the ball as we had possession.

There was a few opportunity but counter attack is also risking open up your defense.

Ok! Clearly we watched different games!

The US never saw the ball?!?!?

And then you seem to contradict yourself. You say one of our main problems is not holding on the the ball in the last 15 minutes, and that we were losing the ball. Yet the US did not have possession?!!?? Then who did? The ref!?!?

When my goalie has to be punching out balls in heavy traffic in the dying minutes of the game, I think someting wong!

Sorry not holding the ball in the last 15 minutes was in games before for years we fail to close out games by forcing it in the last 15. No nothing is wrong when you goalie have to save it in the latter part of the game as the US have nothing to lose and put two big forward who can head the ball up and punching the ball, so that is why we keep the ball away from them as much as possible.

I am not saying Ryan shouldn't give Shelton that one but that is maybe the only one I support. When we are up we need to pick our counter and no force it as it will leave space behind. Instead we see it out, if the third one come then so be it but you have to lock shop and watch the opposition.

Nothing wrong?!!? Something is very wrong is you are having to ward off so much pressure! Yuh nuh tink so, Sass?! If you successfully do so, then great, but I would not want to have to face that every match!

And again, how did we keep the ball away from them? We were booting the ball down field where, on most occasions, they were the only ones standing! And on the odd occasion when we did find a Mattocks, our resultant play was less than convincing!

the ball was been played in midfield where we had a lot of dominance. Trust me if they sense the defensive space they would have come gunning but they were fustratrated as there were no clear cut chances and they never break down our defense.

You are not going to face the pressure every match but teams like the US, Mexico and some top teams going to throw everything at you in the last 10 minutes for sure. Check how the US play over the last two years and see how many goals they have scored in the last 15 minutes, and some against top quality teams coming from behind.

The goalie seemed to be in control and not much danger to me.

Robbie Earl's commented on the game, he was saying how Jamaica was managing the game well by maintaining posession to get the result they wanted.

Okay, we going to have to agree to disagree on this one. Too!
