Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong has been fined £6,000 and warned over his future behaviour after admitting to a Football Association charge of improper conduct.
The charge, issued under FA Rule E3, related to recent comments the 20-year-old made on Twitter.
'Frimpong posted comments amounting to improper conduct and/or which brought the game into disrepute, which included a reference to faith,' read a statement from the FA.

Row: Emmanuel Frimpong used a derogatory term to refer to a Spurs fan on Twitter

Frimpong responded to a comment made by a Tottenham fan on July 15 and although he soon removed the Tweet from the social networking site, it caught the attention of the FA.
The comment made by the Tottenham fan was retweeted by Frimpong, who also added the derogatory term that incurred the FA's wrath.
Frimpong made 14 appearances for Arsenal last season before joining Wolves in a spell that was cut short by a knee injury in February.
Arsenal last week confirmed the player had been 'reminded of his responsibilities when representing the club'.
On the same day the Premier League revealed new guidelines for social media by players, following consultation with the FA and the Professional Footballers' Association

Unfortunately for him, not black enough - LOL!!! Poor ting. Do you think that Evra would have made that claim if a youth like Rodallega was his adversary on the day and used the exact same word?

To the FA's credit, at least they are being consistent with the recent charges against Frimpong, Rio and JT. However, whether they will be consistent on the sentencing front is to be seen. Mi nah go hol' mi breat'.
