I will admit that there is no statistic that I can find that shows how many times their rivals hit the woodwork or how many of their opponents in the games where Liverpool hit the woodwork, hit the pipes themselves. In other words, you can't give Liverpool 33 extra goals and not count those of their opponents in making the points tally calculation.
However, the mathematical difference would most likely still have had a difference in the table to Liverpool's advantage.
