Already come through with Portugal...and already stated Italy to beat England...the other 2 picks Germany and Spain!
After watching all the matches of these quarters the picks for the semi-winners!
*I am facinated by the apparent relative 'speed across ground' of each player and aggregate view of that 'speed' for TEAM...
Danny Welbeck - As round example I have always viewed him as extremely fast. Judging his movement across ground relative to opposing players around him now, to me, makes him seem to be nothing special. Soooooo I have to ask myself - i) Is he not 'trying'? ii) Is he not all that fast? iii) ...or is it all these (many/most) of his opponents are very fast?
Which is it?
...or could my eyes be playing tricks on me and he is showing he is 'plenty' faster than those opponents he has met up against in these Euro 2012 matches but I am missing same?
NB: Just a reminder that my wished for TEAM has all players blinding fast, technically as good as Cesc Fabregas and goalscorer of the Gerhard "Gerd" Muller class with all the players with great tactical ability.
Perfect Football: As I said some many years past in the early days of the forum...the perfect match would be 'no mistakes' with each side (each TEAM) retriving ball from goal after each kick-off.
Of course that TEAM will never be...but I am thinking a coach/manager/technical director should always start from that base ideal and select his players to mould into TEAM accordingly!
