The champions trophy was awarded hours later as players were sequestered in their dressing rooms while the cops fought to disperse the fans. They received the trophy in an empty , dark stadium with just the lights from flashlights to illuminate the "ceremony" .

I heard this on BBC, and the reporter (Turkish) opined that there is no way Turkey will be even considered for hosting Euro Championship with fans behaving like that.

Peter, Turkish fans are in a class of their own. Maybe the Wizla and Krackovia rivalry in Poland maybe up there, but the passion shown by Turks is second to none.
