Tonight, Birmingham star King will attempt to deliver a KO blow to rock Blackpool and set up a Wembley rumble with West Ham.
King, 32, said: “Ali is one of my heroes.
“Hopefully the knockout punch at St Andrew’s will be delivered by us.”
Blackpool’s 1-0 first-leg win makes them favourites to topple Blues in the play-off second leg.
But striker King said: “We’re underdogs — but we’ll take that.

King, who has 18 goals this season, is convinced Blues have a managerial heavyweight in their corner.
Chris Hughton is already being linked to West Brom, with Roy Hodgson moving into the England hotseat.
King added: “He is Premier League class.
“This is the second time he has turned a club’s fortunes around after taking Newcastle back up and to 10th in the Prem.
“That’s not coincidence. He’s been great but his job here is not finished.”
