Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna faces a race to be fit for the new season after suffering his second broken leg of the season.

The Frenchman fell to the ground with no-one around him in the second half of the Gunners 3-3 draw against Norwich, and was subsequently carried off an a stretcher.

Down and out: Bacary Sagna suffered a broken leg in Arsenal's draw with Norwich

Sagna, who suffered the same injury against Tottenham in October, will certainly miss the European Championships where he was expected to play a major part for France.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger said: 'It is broken fibula, the same leg. He was kicked on it, it has not happened alone.

'When he was kicked, he has broken the leg. The guy closed him down and walked on him. I dont know if it was deliberate or not.'
