The RBSC, The reggaeboyzsc.com and The Club will be used throughout this document to refer to The Reggae Boyz Supporterz Club, Inc.
It is not the intention of the RBSC to censor or curtail expression of its members on this forum. As with any community, whether physical or online, there are rules which users will be expected to observe. The moderators/administrators of this forum reserve the right to modify, delete or move, close or open any post at their discretion and without explanation. Questions relating to any editing or removal of posts should be directed to the moderators of this site. If you have questions about any part of these rules, please contact the RBSC at admin@reggaeboyzsc.com.
Failure to observe the forum rules could result in suspension or a ban of your posting privileges.
The rules listed below will be fully enforced by the moderators of this forum.
• By registering with this forum, you are acknowledging that you will conform to the forum rules.
• By using this forum, you are giving REGGAEBOYZSC.COM permission to publish your posting or parts of your posts on any part of the REGGAEBOYZSC.COM website.
• Individuals are allowed to register one member account with this forum. Ignoring this rule could result in the disabling of all your accounts. Please contact the moderators of this forum via email if you have forgotten your login details and are unable to retrieve them via the system. Do not create a new account under such circumstances.
• The choice of username for members will be restricted to simple monikers which do not necessarily identify the user publicly. The use of public figures’ names or titles as a username (e.g. John Barnes, Rene Simoes or Reggae Boyz Coach, etc.) will not be allowed. Users should be aware that this practice could present litigious situations for both The Club and the member.
• A member will be banned from the forum without warning if they intentionally post information which is false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually-oriented, homophobic, racist, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violating any law.
• Excessive and unwarranted personal attacks are expressly prohibited. The tendency of some posters to “take set” on or stalk another poster is strictly prohibited. Moderators will step in with a warning if they feel a poster is unnecessarily following and pressuring any poster.
• Forum members are responsible for any posts originating from their user account.
• Different forums have been made available for Football, Everything Jamaica, Schoolboy football, Other Sports etc. Submit your posts only to the appropriate forum. A show of blatant disregard for this rule will lead to a thread being moved to the correct forum or on repeat violation by the user, the post could be deleted.
• Posting in all caps makes posts difficult to read and is considered shouting by internet etiquette (or netiquette) standards. While you will not be banned from the forum for shouting, forum members would appreciate your consideration if you were to submit post in standard format.
• Moderators will remove images or video clips which depict situations which are sexually explicit, pornographic, excessively violent, hate-filled, racial or any other abuse. Repeated posting of these images or clips will result in the banning of posting privileges. Avatars are not excluded from these rules.
• Thread bumping is not allowed on this forum. Bumping refers to the posting of useless information, posting one-liners or any other action to deliberately keep a thread alive or hot by bringing it to the top of its forum. Moderators will use their discretion, depending on the nature of the post, as to whether to take action or not.
• Spamming an internet forum is when a user posts a message that is off-topic or has little relevance to the subject being discussed, or a post that fails to contribute to the thread. Also spamming can be considered where a person posts messages solely for the purpose of increasing his forum ranking. Spamming is prohibited and will result in the deletion of the post and repeated spamming could result in the revoking of posting privileges.
• Trolling is prohibited. A troll is a person who is deliberately inflammatory in order to provoke a vehement response from other users.
• Moderators will remove any post they deem to be defamatory, libelous or slanderous statements against Moderators, Administrators, Forum Members, or any business, individual or public entity.
• The posting of phone numbers, email addresses and physical addresses for the purpose of harassing or attacking either a member or non member is strictly prohibited. Do not add any advertising, whether overtly or covertly to this board. If you wish to advertise on the site, please contact the RBSC for advertising rates.
• Do not post copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or by the RBSC, or you have the permission of the owner to use their material. In some cases, simply acknowledging the source and writer may be acceptable.
• Personal Messaging (PM) should be used to communicate any private conversation between individuals on the forum. Do not submit a post to get a personal message to another member. Moderators will be instructed to remove these posts.
In the event that a user uses The RBSC’s forum to violate any law and if The Club were subpoenaed to appear in court, The Club would consider it its civic responsibility to cooperate with the authorities in bringing the perpetrators to justice.
Because these rules may not be exhaustive and because all situations may not have been anticipated when these rules were written, The Club reserves the right to amend these terms at any time without notice. It is the responsibility of the forum member to remain informed on the forum rules at all times.
