WESTGREEN, St James — Theodore ‘Tappa’ Whitmore scored a double for Abes FC as they romped to a 7-0 win over Juniors FC at Westgreen on Friday to retake the lead in Zone B of the St James Football Association Division One League.

Whitmore, the former national team star and now national coach, scored once in either half (31st and 46th minutes) for Abes who led 5-0 at the half against the hapless Juniors who are stuck on three points.

Abes improved to 14 points, but have a better goal difference than Seaview on 13 to six.
Stephen Forrest, the team's leading scorer, took his tally of the season to five goals, while Santino Christie, Michael Rickman, Omar Clarke and Travis Peterkin all scored.
To add injury to insult, Juniors ended the game with 10 players after Devon Monteque was sent off for foul and abusive language.
Zone A leaders and mid-season champions Reggae Youths were held to a draw by Marl Road and allowed Barrett Town to close the gap to four points after they beat Salt Spring United 2-0.

At UDC, Marl Road came from a goal down at half-time to earn a 1-1 draw against Reggae Youths with Oneil Ramsey's 58th minute goal.
Theo Shaw had given Reggae Youths the lead in the 11th minute and the Oscar Irving coached team are now on 13 points from six games, four more than Barrett Town who also has a game in hand.

Mario Leslie scored in the 16th minute and Dexroy Leslie in the 57th minute for Barrett Town.
