Yes Father Paul; had to run but the point I wanted to make was how Pele used his technique combined with exceptional peripheral vision and intelligence to score. Notice that he quickly took the shoot; if you follow the replay you will see the the keeper was too much over to the opposite end. hence Pele used the science of the ball to beat him on the other end.

Those plays are a rarity these days (with these over coached Princesses

        Nice King Jawge.

MUST admit that the game has dramatically evolved over the years.

Almost impossible to extrapolate King Pele's level of success and performance in today's game.

Pele was King in his era!!
The only time TRUTH will hurt you...is if you ignore it long enough

Oh yes it has evolved but guess what? There is no more magic. I"m talking about the pay that makes everyone goes how the hell did he do that? wow!Remember when the Bulls was up against the Lakers for their first title (with Magic Johnson back) and almost a second before the buzzer to end the second half Johnson threw the ball to hit the basket to take the lead?

Granted Jordon did thrill us all with his flying moves afterward and at times having us saying wow.

Well it's the same way in the wc 70 when Pele kicked the ball from half line and everyone wondered why, on;y to see the goalie was off his line. Didn't score but still you said wow. That goal by Pele was akin to a magician pulling a rabbit out of a hat.
