Simon Jones is Sportsmail's man on the inside of all the major transfer moves this January.
His column, published every weekday, offers an insight into the deals which will be done and those that won't - and why.
A 5/5-rating means The Insider reckons it's a done deal; 0/5 means The Insider has his mortgage on it not happening.

RAHEEM STERLING
Liverpool to Bolton
THE INSIDER says: 2/5
KATLEGO MPHELA
Mamelodi Sundowns to QPR
THE INSIDER says: 3/5
The 17-year-old Jamaica-born winger is one of the best young talents in Europe.
Liverpool bought him on the recommendation of academy director Frank McParland and his judgement has been proven by the continued improvement of Sterling who has caught the eye in the NextGen Series.
He first came to prominence at QPR and they are among his admirers now who would like to take him on loan if the option was there. Bolton, Swansea, West Ham and more would all be keen but Liverpool are inclined to keep him at Anfield for now.
He is training with the first team and has a chance of breaking through while the NextGen quarter final with Tottenham is next week. A loan to the Championship may follow.
Sportsmail revealed that Queens Park Rangers have made an enquiry for the Mamelodi Sundowns striker and Mphela's adviser, Glyn Binkin, confirmed: 'There has been an enquiry made, but I can't comment further than that.'
Mphela is currently the PSL's leading scorer with nine goals for the season and is the third highest Bafana Bafana scorer of all time with 22 goals in 44 matches.
The 27-year-old has an impressive record in the Premier Soccer League in South Africa and for the national team, which has earned him the nickname 'Killer' because of his finishing instinct.
Mark Hughes desperately needs a striker but is likely to look at other Premier League options first before firming up interest in Mphela.
GIOVANI DOS SANTOS
Tottenham to Villarreal
THE INSIDER says: 4/5
JOHNNY HEITINGA
Everton to Real Mallorca
THE INSIDER says: 1/5
The 22-year-old Mexican international must be hoping that this is his moment to escape White Hart Lane with Villarreal and Granada both keen to take him.
He has failed to establish himself since arriving at White Hart Lane in the summer of 2008 from Barcelona and has played this season in domestic and European Cup competitions, contributing a couple of goals against Shamrock Rovers and Cheltenham.
He is rated in the £10m bracket by chairman Daniel Levy but he has been willing to bend a little over the fee in a bid to free up funds.
Villarreal are going through a rough period without their talismanic striker and Tottenham target Giuseppe Rossi and, with Nilmar heading back to Brazil after a pay dispute, they need an attacking option.
Everyone knows Everton need money and every player has his price at the club.
Heitinga has long been unsettled by his lack of continuous playing time but has taken his opportunity this year to fill in at centre-back for either Sylvain Distin or Phil Jagielka at the moment and will likely be utilised in midfield when they are back in tandem.
That hasn't prevented Mallorca making enquiries though and they have sounded out Heitinga's agent about the prospect of the Dutch international moving back to the Spanish Liga.
Heitinga has previous La Liga experience with Atletico Madrid but was not well received there. He will likely see out this window before taking stock, like most of his club mates, in the summer.
