• Mex vs Ja

    The offside call was correct.

Jamaicahas started much better thanagainst Costa Rica. Still...we are not being as good technically as the Mexicans.

The defenders are moving with greater urgency -- they are alive. We are still making a liberal amount of mistakes across the field.

This game appears to be the fastest of all. Our players are thinking/sharper in movementand we can clearly see the thinking behind our attacks.

Still taking a little too long to move the ball about.Mexico is out working us as TEAM.

It matters not what happens after this point - but, up to this point our TEAM is way better than at anytime in the previous match.

Still Mexico is runningthrough our rearguard like knife through hot butter. Mexico is using the wingsgetting to the by-line and pulling back the ball...playing the ball over the top andgetting behindour defense...

...our players are hustling, but they boot the ball long too often and or make long passes rather than short safe passes and keep gifting the ball to the Mexicans. ...who naturally keep coming at our players in waves.

...GOAL! ...Mexican dips the shoulder and wriggles through our middle and passes...'keeper out in a flash as he must...but, beaten to the ball - GOAL Mexico!

The thinking has long left us...you would think someone would see that the long balls are mere gifts to the Mexicans and helps the Mexicans to keep running at us!

I hope someone realises it shortly! ...and, organises...shares the info with his teammates...and devise a different - passing way...movement and passing to get at theMexicans. The space is there always there as the Mexicans attack...come forward.

Poor us. When will we realise that it's easier to let the ball do the work for us (tdown)

The defenders are leaving the wings wide open for the Mexicans to enter the 18-yard box.

No we are not looking good!

If I gave that impression I am sorry. The Mexicans are miles above us technically and tactically. What we have been doing is working ten times as hard as we did in our earlier match.

I cannot remember us putting a good attack...any attack together.

We got a free-kick in striking range...but, our kicker leaned back and skied the ball.

Our goalkeeper is not our hardest working player...but, he is definitely our best player so far.

Added to the Mexicans build-ups, we still are not going to meet the ballas a result Mexicans are running by us and picking up balls.

So we are kicking the ball long to the Mexicans...we are not meeting balls as often as we should...and, the mexicans are coming at us in waves...we are defending and defending and defending deep in our half...and, by determination to prevent scoring --doing a lot of defending in and around our penalty-area.

Yes! ...and, he is going crazy on the Mexicans for a good reason. They are running us crazy!

I am just trying to when possible not make us look too bad...guess what the score is only 0-1...putting a couple passes together could get us some shots at goal...and, one or two free-kicks could putus back in the game. :w00t:

We did haveone good buildup and a very good cross from the right but our forward's header was weak and wide. He was under some pressure...but, the ballcame in sweetlywith force and great heading height. ...a '60s Munronian would have thumped (with head) that on goal.

His name is Seamus O'Reilly. And his commentary is spot on.

LikeI had pointed out months before. Only the U-17 Reggae Boyz have the only shot of representing Jamaica in the summer in the World Cup along with the U-23 Reggae Boyz & Girlz already in the PanAm Games in Brazil.

Still: win, lose or draw. I have to DVD all Jamaican matches and place them in my collection.
