If the Chin from Waterhouse is to be believed there might be a trade soon, caught the end of an interview with Chin yesterday and he was telling Earl Bailey that Mattocks was the man in charge and had told his handlers he did not want to go to any of the teams in Canada.

Mattocks on TVJ now saying he has no problems going to Vancouver as he acclimatised well while in Akron..did say he would prefer to go to the USA however and did not rule out a transfer

He is not starting on the right foot..... He is in one of the best cities in North America.. The fans may not take to him. Also shows ignorance any three of the possible Canadian cities are modern , cosmopolitan and multicultural... Miami, LA or NY was not in the mix and other than boston I dont see a better place to play..

Yeah, Canadians can be pretty thin skinned about those kinds of comments.

Well he did heap lots of praise on Vancouver and BC so it is not like he dissed them or anything, he spoke about the beautiful city and the modern stadium etc

He is not very good at all when it comes to media relations. Like Jevaughn Watson, he has a far way to go to understanding how to operate.

yes especially in vancouver. If you recall Stevie Francis refused to go there when drafted by the then Vancouver Grizzles of the NBA. He never got past that. And the fact is is one of the most beautiful and fair weather cities in N.A. Not cold , a bit a rain but very nice and relatively safe.

I would say always cold, but that's me. But it is hardly ever too cold! And almost never hot too.

                            Not good!

But I think we can all agree, a beautiful city, even though I have not yet visited.

Actually, the post by Sikko is a little misleading without hearing the complete interview. Also, keep in mind, when the MLS draft commentators on ESPN echoed the same trade talk as soon as Vancouver made the pick. Vancouver has good attacking players, so there concern were "where is he going to play," since they already have those players. Some MLS analysts of the draft say it is a transformation draft for them. Maybe Vancouver is looking to play 4-3-3. Here is a link to the interview on TVJ that Sickko heard.
