Bwoy! ...GUNNERS dominated possession in their 3 matches and only picked up 4 points. --- Those 5 dropped would have had us comfortable with 41 points!

Aaaaaah bwoy ..life not so sweet!

Couldn't agree more...well, kinda. I am not upset about the result in the macro sense (i.e. what it means to the title race), but very upset in the micro-sense (our team's performance generally).

Liverpool has no goal scorers and our build up is great until the last 25 yards. It took us 88 minutes before we got some level of possession inside the 6 yard box. That can't continue. Time to break out the checkbook.

By the way, the Suarez ban was not contested as it was an easy way for KK to justify buying another striker and not spooking the poor hapless Andy Carroll, who I believe will eventually come good, for Wolves. It is his way of saving face for a poor decision (spending 35M on Carroll - same amount City spend for Kun) in the last January window.

The decision not to contest the ban is also to save face. The written decision is pretty damning. I see Suarez still focused on the word "negro" which is not really the point. He was taunting the man using it in a derogatory way.

I would be interested to see a black man accusing another black man of being racist for calling him "ma nig•ah" in a heated quarrel and what a tribunal would say about

Gamma - how do you know he was using it in a derogatory way? He denies that and the only "evidence" to refute it is Evra's testimony. This was not a factor (see below) as I understand it.

Secondly, based on the report, the word "n-g-r" in and of itself is abusive and insulting, so based on this precedent, it makes no difference who is using the word, whether they are black or white. Specifically, paragraph 72 of the report reads:

                            72. Rule E3(2) provides that in the event of any breach of Rule E3(1) including a reference to, amongst other things, a person's ethnic origin, colour or race, a Commission shall consider the imposition of an increased sanction. The wording of Rule E3(2) is clear. It is a question of fact whether a breach of Rule E3(1) includes a reference to the protected characteristics.
No question of subjective intention arises here.
