Watkins (84th)
FORTY-THREE minutes of urgent action ended with end-of-second-round finalists Reno and Boys' Town drawing 1-1 to wrap up their aborted National Premier League game at the Tony Spaulding Sports Complex yesterday.
The match was the completion of the Jan 3 fixture which was curtailed with the scores locked at 0-0 because of a shooting incident at Collie Smith Drive.
Kendrick Quarrie opened the scoring for Reno in the 74th minute, while Fabion Watkins' penalty pulled Boys' Town level in the 84th.
In the quick-paced second half, Boys' Town missed several opportunities to score as both teams kept the action going to a three-quarters full stadium before Quarrie put the Westmoreland-based Reno ahead.
Boys' Town pulled one back with six minutes left on the clock as Watkins' penalty landed squarely in the back of the net.
Reno's coach Aaron Lawrence said it was a pity the equaliser came so close to the end, but he was nevertheless happy.
