Giant-killers Crystal Palace and Cardiff were kept away from the Premier League big guns as they were drawn to face each other in the semi-finals.
It means Manchester City and Liverpool will instead do battle for a place at Wembley, the latter of the two clubs gunning for their first appearance at the rebuilt stadium.
The two-legged semi-final will kick off in the week beginning January 9, with the second leg two weeks later.
