At least six members of the Togolese first-division club Etoile Filante are dead after their team bus went off a road into a ravine and caught fire.
Authorities believe the accident near the city of Atakpame, about 160 kilometers north of the capital of Lome, was caused after the bus blew a tire.
The bus was headed to the Sokode, Togo's second largest city, for a game against Semassi.
Names of the players have not yet been released.
According to fifa.com, Etole Filante was in eighth place in Togo's top league, and Semassi was in fifth place.
