    Wednesday 14 February
    Fourth Round Replay
    Kick-off: 2005 GMT
    Referee: Chris Foy (Merseyside)
Winners home to Blackburn in fifth round

    <HR>

Bolton will be without Kevin Davies (ankle) and Abdoulaye Faye (abscess) for Wednesday's FA Cup fourth-round replay at the Reebok Stadium.

Abdoulaye Meite (calf) and Gary Speed (dead leg) are both doubtful but Ivan Campo has recovered from a virus.

Arsenal will rest Thierry Henry and Jens Lehmann but Freddie Ljungberg, Alexander Hleb and Johan Djourou all return to the squad after injury.

William Gallas, Emmanuel Eboue, Mathieu Flamini and Philippe Senderos are out.

Gallas has a thigh injury, Eboue and Flamini ankle problems and Senderos is suspended.

    BIG-MATCH FACTS

BOLTON WANDERERS and Arsenal could hardly be more closely matched as they prepare to resume hostilities at the Reebok for the right to host Blackburn in the last 16 at lunchtime on Saturday. That tie, as this replay, will be played out in front of live BBC Match of the Day cameras. Both clubs were in home League action on Sunday. Bolton kicked off first, beat Fulham 2-1, and leapfrogged Arsenal in the Premiership table. The Gunners then defeated Wigan in controversial circumstances to regain fourth spot. Wenger's men had to come from behind at the Emirates to beat the Latics. They also conceded the opening goal to Bolton in the original Cup tie when Kevin Nolan fired the visitors in front in the 50th minute, but the Londoners upped the tempo and equalised through Kolo Toure with 12 minutes remaining.

The Trotters have become something of a bogey side for Arsenal, having lost once to them in eight League and Cup meetings. All four of their victories in that sequence have been at the Reebok. The most recent of those was this seasons League fixture on 25 November when Nicolas Anelka scored twice against his former club in a 3-1 victory.

It's 49 years since Wanderers last won the Cup for the fourth time in their history. Quarter-finalists two years ago, they had to be satisfied with a last 16 berth last year when they were beaten by the eventual runners-up West Ham. Now the Lancashire club are hoping to knock out top flight opposition for the first time since disposing of the Gunners twelve months ago.

ARSENAL travel to the north-west on a 10 match undefeated sequence. They've won seven and drawn three in all competitions since losing 1-0 at Sheffield United on 30 December - their only defeat in 18 League and Cup outings.

This is the 10th time the Gunners and Bolton have been drawn against each other in the oldest, and arguably greatest knock-out competition in world club football, and the third season running. Arsenal were on route to winning the trophy in 2004-05, when they beat Bolton 1-0 in the quarter-finals at the Reebok with a third minute goal from Fredrik Ljungberg. Last season at this same fourth round stage, the Trotters won 1-0 at the Reebok with a score from Stylianos Giannakopoulis six minutes from time.

An Arsenal player has lifted the FA Cup in three of the last five years, and on four occasions in the tenure of Arsene Wenger. They've reached the final in four of their last six attempts, and the semi-final on one of the other two occasions. Only Manchester United have won the Cup more times than Arsenal - United 11, the Gunners 10. </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

2100: Alan Shearer reckons Nicolas Anelka is not enjoying himself tonight because he's "not smiling at all".

"Arsenal were brilliant. It doesn't matter what team Arsene Wenger puts out, they have such fluency, but we know they have that. Tonight, they are competing as well. I can't believe I'm saying this but they have outmuscled Bolton."
    BBC Sport's Alan Hansen

    2055: And that's half-time.

2054: Only a minute of added time at the end of this entertaining first half at the Reebok Stadium.

2051: Panic in the Arsenal defence caused by Ivan Campo's long throw. Kevin Nolan has the first shot which is accidentally blocked by team-mate Stelios - who puts the rebound onto the bar.

"Bolton are really missing Kevin Davies."
    BBC Sport's Mark Lawrenson

2049: Andranik won't be taking many more free-kicks at this rate. The Bolton midfielder sticks one straight into Manuel Almunia's arms.

2046: Julio Baptista's free-kick is tipped over the bar by Bolton keeper Jussi Jaaskelainen.

2044: The Bolton fans are delighted as Ivan Campo leaves Alex Hleb for dead with a neat sidestep. It's a small victory as Campo is deep in his own half.

2040: The BBC Sport website's chief football writer is enraged as he discovers he has two teabags in his tea. Bet he drinks it anyway.

2039: Julio Baptista leads BBC Sport Interactive's Player Rater - but surely not for long after that last miss. <DIV class=arr></DIV>

2036: Arsenal are on the attack again but Julio Baptista slices his shot horribly wide. Not an easy chance but he should have done better.

2035: Arsenal sub Freddie Ljungberg is sitting on the bench with a blanket over his knees. Doesn't he know it's unseasonably warm?

2031: El-Hadji 'Bad Boy' Diouf wins a free-kick on the right but Bolton fail to make it pay as Andranik Teymourian's delivery is disappointing.

"Arsenal have never lost when Emmanuel Adebayor has scored."
    BBC Sport commentator Guy Mowbray

    2021: GOAL Bolton 0-1 Arsenal
Another fabulous passing move from Arsenal ends with Emmanuel Adebayor netting the first of the evening. His shot takes a wicked deflection off Stelios to deceive Bolton keeper Jussi Jaaskelainen.

2020: It's a fast and furious start at the Reebok Stadium. Bolton are sharp in the tackle and looking threatening going forward but Arsenal look like they're up for the fight.

2016: Tomas Rosicky takes possession, sidesteps Kevin Nolan and shoots low and wide from 30 yards.

2014: Arsenal put together a typically slick passing move but Emmanuel Adebayor's return ball to Tomas Rosicky is just overhit and Jussi Jaaskelainen collects.

2009: An awful clearance by Johan Djourou goes straight to Kevin Nolan, who drives into the box before tripping. No penalty.

    2009: And we're off.

2007: Arsene Wenger is waving at someone in the crowd. Presumably it isn't Sam Allardyce, who has taken his customary position in the stands.

2005: Hansen and Shearer are both tipping Bolton. Interesting. The teams are just coming out so we'll be a little late wi

All's well that ends well for the BIG SIDEE... Irritating is right though. You could have seen the Bolton extra time equalizer coming a mile away... In the end Gunners took the game in spite of themselves.

This was one of those games where it could be said that the GUNNERS forwards and midfielders tried everything to lose....through the missing of chances.

          2 penalties? Bushed! :w00t:

Adebayor:Rounds the 'keeper? Misses the open goal! :w00t:

Diaby: one and one with the 'keeper: Fails to 'touch' the balland thus fails to 'round the 'keeper.

          ...and, many more chances galore!

Fustrating? Trust meI have gotten to the stage where I am resigned to repeated simple misses.

Yet the build-ups were in the main...superb! ...and, the defending in spite of Toure not being at his best was adequate.

The football...the thinking behind the plays...and, that included Bolton's...was a good learning session.

Bolton could have won! They also made their chances.

          Big sidEE won! (Clap)(Clap)(Clap)

Adebayor's early goal looked to have put Arsenal through, but Gilberto Silva's penalty miss gave Bolton hope.

Abdoulaye Meite scrambled a last-gasp equaliser, but substitute Ljungberg was on target after 108 minutes.

Bolton's Tal Ben Haim was sent off and Julio Baptista missed Arsenal's second spot-kick before Adebayor scored again.

<DIV class=avinline>Arsenal's so-called second string have proved their quality before, and they produced a dazzling first 45 minutes. </DIV>

Tomas Rosicky had already shot narrowly wide when Arsenal capped a stunning passage of passing play by taking the lead.

A succession of passes and flicks ended with Adebayor firing in a 15-yard shot that took a crucial deflection off Stelios to beat Jussi Jaaskelainen.

The rest of the opening half - apart from the closing minutes - was an Arsenal master-class in passing, movement and individual brilliance.

Baptista just failed to connect with Gael Clichy's cross, then shot wastefully wide from another inviting cross from Rosicky.

Bolton almost bounced back from being outclassed with an equaliser three minutes before half-time, Stelios hitting the bar from only eight yards out.

Battle was joined within seconds of the re-start, with Arsenal keeper Manuel Almunia saving well after Abou Diaby directed a header towards his own goal.

Stelios then frustrated Bolton by delaying and allowing Almunia to plunge at his feet, with Tal Ben Haim waiting unmarked in front of goal.

Arsenal captain Gilberto wasted the perfect chance to double Arsenal's advantage from the penalty spot after 62 minutes.

Referee Chris Foy correctly pointed to the spot when Ben Haim hauled down Baptista, but the normally reliable Gilberto hoisted his spot-kick well over the bar.

Bolton were trying desperately to push for an equaliser, but ran the risk of falling victim to a trademark Arsenal counter-attack.

And it almost proved to be the case five minutes from time when Adebayor raced clear and rounded Jaaskelainen, only to strike an upright.

But Bolton refused to give up and Arsenal paid the price for their generosity in the dying seconds of injury time.

Meite was unmarked to turn home Ivan Campo's header from close range after Arsenal failed to deal with a corner.

And Bolton almost completed the turnaround six minutes into extra time, when El-Hadji Diouf's cross was deflected on to his own post by Gilberto.

Arsenal remained a threat, and the erratic Baptista was off target when he should have rounded off fine work by Diaby.

And the Gunners were in front again after 108 minutes with a goal of the highest quality.

Substitute Jeremie Aliadiere's run carved out the opening for Ljungberg, who controlled before flashing a left-foot finish across Jaaskelainen.

Bolton lost Ben Haim for a second bookable offence, and then conceded a second penalty when Nicolas Anelka hauled down Adebayor with kee

Yup! ...and that was precisely what TEAM needed! Beautiful TEAM play!

I am thinking...was thinking then...that going for the more difficult attempting to score would have been an anti-TEAM choice/action!
