IMF?? Oh I see....but this "pending status" of an academy is pre-IMF. FIFA GOAL money was allocated when? 2000?

What do you guesstimate is the annual cost for a development program for say 60 kids in a football academy? Maybe US$5k/player?

What we have here is a total failure of leadership....enabled by a failure of the public to hold the JFF accountable

But no biggie. Dat development ting tek tuh much ah big man time....wi all know dat wi cyan always guh shop ah Englant :

It's NOT a money problem. The money argument is a convenient cop out.
There are high schools that raise more than what an academy would need annually.

          That's a leadership & followership problem.

Who is responsible for player development, is it our schools, football clubs, or the JFF?

The associated question to yours is who should be responsible?

Ultimately the JFF of course... secondly clubs. High schools exist to educate students....not to produce fine players. The few who play organized football for schools should be doing so primarily because it's a healthy extra-curricular activity

That Jamaica has foolishly depended on HS ball as THE integral part of youth player development is the fault of football administrators...not high schools

              Wi specialize in misinterpreting reality
