    International Watch: Gunners away on duty

    Seventeen members of the Arsenal first team have been called up by their countries for the forthcoming international period.

    Netherlands v San Marino, September 2
    Finland vs Netherlands, September 6
    Robin van Persie was in lethal form for the Netherlands, netting four times as Bert van Marwijk's side brushed aside San Marino 11-0 in Eindhoven. The striker becomes the first Holland player to score four goals in a European Championships Qualifier since Marco van Basten netted a record five vs Malta in December 1990. The Netherlands travel to Finland on Tuesday for their second Euro 2012 qualifier of the international break.

    Kuwait v South Korea, September 6
    Chu Young Park hit a hat-trick as South Korea secured an emphatic victory in their World Cup qualifier against Lebanon. The new signing from Monaco fired in an excellent volley for his first, headed home from a corner for No 2 and completed his trio of strikes with a superbly-taken effort midway through the second half. South Korea face Kuwait on Tuesday.

    Wales vs Montenegro, September 2
    England v Wales, September 6
    Aaron Ramsey scored as Wales beat Montenegro 2-1 in Cardiff. The young midfielder latched onto Gareth Bale's pull-back to fire the Welsh to victory. Gary Speed's side travel to Wembley on Tuesday to face England in their second Euro 2012 qualifier of the week.

    Germany v Austria, September 2
    Poland v Germany, September 6
    Per Mertesacker was an unused substitute in Germany's 6-2 victory over Austria in Gelsenkirchen. The Germans travel to Gdansk on Tuesday for a friendly match against Poland.

    Bulgaria v England, September 2
    England v Wales, September 6

    Theo Walcott played 82 minutes of England's 3-0 victory over Bulgaria in Sofia on Friday night. The Arsenal man will once again be in contention for a start when Fabio Capello's team host Wales on Tuesday night.

    Albania v France, September 2
    Romania v France, September 6

    Bacary Sagna missed France's 2-1 victory over Albania with a virus. Laurent Koscielny was an unused substitute. France travel to Bucharest on Tuesday to face Romania in their second Euro 2012 qualifier of the international break.

    Russia v Macedonia, September 2

    Russia v Republic of Ireland, September 6
    Andrey Arshavin played the full 90 minutes and captained Russia to a 1-1 draw against Macedonia on Friday. Russia welcome Giovanni Trapattoni's Republic of Ireland outfit on Tuesday.

    Poland v Mexico, September 2
    Poland v Germany, September 6
    Wojciech Szczesny was an unused substitute as Poland battled to a 1-1 friendly draw against Mexico in Warsaw. Poland host Germany in a second friendly match of the international break in Gdansk on Tuesday.

    Belgium v USA, September 6
    Thomas Vermaelen did not make the bench for Belgium's 1-1 draw with Azerbaijan in their Euro 2012 qualifier on Friday evening. Belgium face the USA in a friendly match in Brussels on Tuesday.

    Croatia v Israel, September 6

    Yossi Benayoun played the full 90 minutes as Israel went down 1-0 at home to Greece in their Euro 2012 qualifier in Tel Aviv. Israel travel to Zagreb on Tuesday to face Croatia.

    England Under-21s 6-0 Azerbaijan Under-21s, September 1
    England Under-21s v Israel Under-21s, September 5
    Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain played 76 minutes of England Under-21s' 6-0 Euro 2013 qualifier victory over Azerbaijan Under-21s at Watford's Vicarage Road on Thursday night. The young winger had a hand in both Henri Lansbury strikes, and looked lively throughout. England Under-21s face Israel in a friendly match at Barnsley's Oakwell on Monday.

    Turkey Under-21s v Republic of Ireland Under-21s, September 6
    Rhys Murphy played the full 90 minutes on his Under-21s debut, scoring the winner in the 69th minute of his side's Euro 2013 qualifier after finishing off Hull City midfielder Robbie Brady's cross. Murphy will once again be in contention for their Group H qualifier against Turkey on Tuesday.

    Czech Republic v Ukraine, September 6
    Tomas Rosicky has been called up to the Czech Republic squad for matches against Scotland and Ukraine. Rosicky’s side travel to Hampden Park on Saturday for a Euro 2012 qualifier before hosting Ukraine for a friendly match in Prague on Tuesday, September 6.

    Alex Song has been called up to the Cameroon squad for Saturday’s home African Cup of Nations qualifier against Mauritius in Yaounde.

    Gervinho has been called up to the Ivory Coast squad for their African Cup of Nations 2012 qualifier against Rwanda in Kigali.

    Tuesday, September 6
    Johan Djourou has been called up to the Switzerland squad for their Euro 2012 qualifying match against Bulgaria in Basel on Tuesday, September 6.

      By December or earlier when the Gunners are rightfully again in the top four. The English media and doubters will still be waiting like vultures to fail.

        Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, what a prospect. Just watch the youth play fi England under 21 v Isreal and trust me this boy is something special. Well done Arsene for bringing another Gem to the Arsenal!!
