  • Daniel Gordon's FSV Frankfurt Goes Wild, Wins 4-0

Daniel Gordon was a subsitute and did not play, but FSV Frankfurt finally found its scoring touch on the road, of all places for its first win in six matches, a 4-0 drubbing of Karlsruhe.

In its previous five matches, FSV has scored only two goals.

FSV was so dominant, the biggest test of goalkeeper Patric Klandt came in the final five minutes when he had to dive backwards to make a one-handed swat to save an own goal. Klandt's teammate headed the ball back to him, but Klandt was off his line and the ball appeared to be going over him and into the net.

Karim Benyamina, who recently got a tryout call from Algeria, jumped on Karlsruhe early with a goal in the 6th minute, followed by a second goal in the 32nd. Zafer Yelen scored on a penalty in the 52nd minute, and Marcus Crisantius finished off a beautiful cross in the 77th.

FSV now has 8 points in six matches on a win, three losses, and two draws.
