Boys' Town, Harbour View renew rivalry
Howard Walker, Staff Reporter
Leaders Harbour View travel to Boys' Town hoping to extend their lead as the 21st round of the Wray and Nephew National Premier League continues tomorrow.
In the other games, Seba welcome Waterhouse to Catherine Hall; Reno return to Frome to face August Town; Naggo Head host Village at Ferdie Neita Park; Arnett Gardens tackle Portmore United and Tivoli Gardens play Wadadah.
Harbour View, the champions in 2000, regained sole leadership of the league when they whipped Waterhouse 3-1 at the Compound last week.
long standing rivalries
The "Stars of the East" on 43 points, renew one of their long standing rivalries with eighth-placed Boys' Town on 22 points.
Over the years both teams produced some epic battles and tomorrow's game should be no different. The last time they met on November 8, Boys' Town held Harbour View to a 1-1 draw.
Harbour View's recent good form saw four of their players in Lovel Palmer, Donald Stewart, Oneil Smith and Kavin Bryan all getting national selection.
Taylor's back to best
Striker Fabian Taylor is back to his best and should be well-supported by Kemeel Wolfe, Robert Scarlett, Christopher Harvey and Rafiek Thomas. Key midfielder Richard Edwards and defender Jermaine Taylor are out injured.
Boys' Town, fresh from their 2-0 Red Stripe all-island Knockout Cup victory over Tafari Lions, return to their Collie Smith Drive home after a two-match ban.
The Red Brigade will be looking to Kirk Porter, George Vernal, Fabian Watkins, Peter Keyes, Michael Campbell and Garfield Gillespie for their win.
Second-placed Waterhouse on 40 points, should record their 12th win of the season over 10th placed Seba on 18 points.
Third-placed Reno on 37 points, return to their original turf at Frome but face a tricky encounter against the improving August Town in ninth position on 19 points.
Fifth-placed Arnett Gardens on 30 points will be hard-pressed to hold off the dangerous Portmore United lurking in fourth position on 36 points.
Sixth-placed Tivoli Gardens should come up trumps against lowly Wadadah, while Village should register their seventh win of the season over the winless Naggo Head.
