  • Gervinho inspires Gunners

Gervinho scored twice on his debut to help Arsenal overcome Cologne 2-1 in Germany on Saturday.
The Ivory Coast international, who completed a move to the London club from Lille earlier this week, opened the scoring on seven minutes after being played in by a clever Jack Wilshere pass.
Gervinho then turned home a Theo Walcott cross eight minutes later to double Arsenal's advantage, before leaving the pitch just before the half-hour mark.
His collision with keeper Michael Rensing in scoring the second probably prompted his substitution as Arsenal took no chances with a possible injury, but he happily watched the second half from the sidelines with his team-mates.
Cologne, who finished 10th in the Bundesliga last season, reduced their arrears just before half-time courtesy of a freakish Carl Jenkinson own goal.
Arsene Wenger rang the changes at the break and the game continued to provide plenty of entertainment in the second period, but there was no change to the scoreline as Arsenal secured victory.

Gervinho is an eye, catching player,he will quickly be asked to forget he is a newbie and take control of the team without Fabregas knowing.

Cesc won't know, he will be in Barca. Seems like a done deal.
