Ricardo Fuller hoping for new contract and to finish his career at Stoke City

Stoke City striker Ricardo Fuller has admitted he would be happy to sign a new contract if it was offered to him and has revealed he would like to end his career at the Britannia Stadium.
The 31-year-old joined the club from Southampton in 2006 and has admitted that he feels at home at Stoke and has no intention of leaving, despite having just a year left on his current deal.
“Of course I would like to stay. I have been here five years, this is my home, and I would love to finish my career here,” he told the Stoke Sentinel.
“I have been working for that, and what I have done in the past is because I want to stay and finish my career here.
“I play from the heart because I love the place and love the club. I am 31 now and another few years to try to finish here would be great.”
Fuller is currently recovering from injury after undergoing surgery on an Achilles problem, that is expected to rule him out of the opening weeks of the new season.
“It is four to six months to recover [after an operation], but I am healing well so the end of September would be four months,” he added.
“I am geared up for that, but if not then it would definitely be by the end of November.”
Stoke kick-off their season on July 28 with a Europa League qualifier against Hajduk Split before opening their Premier League campaign on August 14 at home to Chelsea.
