Karl no one can scoff at the US team. Outside of Germany, Italy and Brasil, they can run with the rest on any given day.
The fact is that the US is yet to pick their best team and yet to play their best ball (as Gardner pointed out). The US could have easily built a united nations team as France did but the friends and club memebers are holding it back. If Klinsman had his way; you would have seen that kind of team.
