San Jose (Editor). The National team player, Dennis Marshall, died this afternoon, with his wife in a traffic accident on Route 32, as confirmed by the Transit Police.

Cesar Quiros, director of the Transit Police said the vehicle was driving collided with a van footballer, at 1:35 pm, near the Tram in Braulio Carrillo highway, which connects San Jose with Guápiles. According to Quirós, the car invaded the lane.
Erwin Masís Yanan in-law of Marshall and owner of the wrecked vehicle, said the player and his wife, Meilyn Masís Castro, came from the house of the parents of Marshall in Cundinamarca Siquirres.
Firefighters worked several hours to extract the bodies, and because of the accident, the passage through Route 32 was suspended for much of the afternoon.
Dennis Marshall began his football career in Puntarenas, then pass a minor league in 2007. Left his native Lemon to go to that expense with a group of eight young people, of which only two made it to the First Division.
With Puntarenas played the 2008-2009 season to move to the Club Sport Herediano . It was in the Team where he was to give way to international football , specifically in Aalborg Denmark.
During his tenure Herediano the lateral and central Costa Rica was called to the Tricolor.
With the senior team in Costa Rica debuted on June 6, 2009 in World Cup qualifying match earlier in the process against Trinidad and Tobago.
On that occasion the Tricolor won 3-2 cards.
For his signing the player in Aalborg had a break in his studies because he was taking a master's degree in business administration.
Marshall played the last Gold Cup and scored the tying goal in the game against Honduras, who eventually lost on penalties.
