Our problem is on defending...but we shore that up if our midfielders and forwards take good care of the ball.
That discipline and possession game is most important in this game. ...and as we move forward it becomes even more important.
...but that is nothing new - as the opposition becomes stronger and stronger (towards TOP OF THE WORLD) possession becomes ever more important.
Shelton has to improve his passing, limit or eliminate wandering
off-side and thus giving away the ball on off-side calls...and make sensible passing options - with emphasis on setting up his TEAMmates with goalscoring opportunities.

Jamaica, U.S. know each other well
WASHINGTON -- Scouting the United States for Sunday's Gold Cup quarterfinal at RFK Stadium should be an easy task for Jamaica.
Seven Jamaican players on the 23-player roster compete in Major League Soccer, against or with members of the American side.
The roster includes goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts (Los Angeles Galaxy), defenders Shavar Thomas (Sporting Kansas City), Jermaine Taylor (Houston Dynamo) and Dicoy Williams (Toronto FC) and midfielders Dane Richards (New York Red Bulls) and Jevaughn Watson (Houston) and striker Ryan Johnson (San Jose Earthquakes).
"A lot of the guys, we get to see them weekly on television so we know what to expect of a majority of their players," Johnson after Jamaica finished Thursday's practice at Trinity Washington University in the pouring rain. "I know from experience playing with some of the players. Some of the guys are my teammates.
"We know the U.S. team very well. We're looking to give them the best performance that we can."
It works both ways as well. The Americans know Jamaica pretty well as they prepare for their Sunday encounter, which will be followed by Panama vs. El Salvador.
"We're not sneaking up on anybody," Johnson said. "People know what we can do. People can see that Jamaica has talent and we have a lot of good players and we're dangerous. The U.S. knows that and they're going to be ready."
The Jamaicans and Mexico were the only teams to win all three games in the group stage. Jamaica was the only team not to give up a goal.
"We still can do better in some things," Johnson said. "We're doing the best we can. We haven't given up any goals in the Gold Cup and that's a huge accomplishment for Jamaica. We just want to continue to keep that kind of defensive performance and go far."
The Caribbean side never has beaten the Americans. The Jamaicans have lost nine of the 17 lifetime meetings, including seven of nine on U.S. soil.
But coach Theodore Whitmore was optimistic.
"Game-by-game, we keep improving," he said. "Unfortunately, the big one is against the USA. I've never beaten the U.S. as a player or a coach. I would hope to do it on Sunday. It would be a great achievement for the Jamaican national team."
The Jamaicans might have some advantage on the United States when it was revealed that its two best attacking players, midfielders Landon Donovan and Clint Dempsey, would miss three days of training due to family commitments to attend their sisters' weddings in California and Texas, respectively.
Jamaica did not make a big deal about it.
"We are not concentrating on the U.S.," Whitmore said. "We have to prepare our team to get ready for Sunday. It doesn't really matter."
If anything, Johnson was impressed with U.S. coach Bob Bradley giving two key players off during preparation for a vital match.
"It's their personal lives," he said. "I have family. I have obligations. It's good. It's a celebration. It's good that Bob Bradley allowed them to do that. It shows that he has faith in his players that they will be professional. That's hats off to Bob to be with their families."
