Daniel Gordon scored on a wicked volley in the 81st minute, but his Rotweiss Oberhausen club got smoked at home 4-1 by Gruther Furth. Gordon's goal came on a one-time volley that curved and dropped over Furth's goalkeeper just inside the left post.
Gordon also got a yellow card, and gave up Furth's second goal after he misplayed a long ball.
All of the contenders in the Bundesliga 2 relegation derby lost today. With only one match remaining, Oberhausen is in 17th place facing automatic relegation with 28 points. Osnabruck is 16th, also with 28 points, but way ahead of Oberhausen on goal difference, and will be in a relegation playoff. Karlsruhe is 15th, out of the relegation zone, with 30 points.
Gruther Furth is in fourth place, trailing Bochum and a promotion playoff by two points. Hertha Berlin and Augsburg have clinched a promotion to the big time next season.
